When I was growing up, I was confident. I felt hot and flawless; I didn’t flaunt it, but I knew. Then, I met my boyfriend, started to fill out and put on some weight. After about two years of being with each other, I managed to gain 30 pounds – and not in the right places. I lost all my confidence.
So, when I came across The Official Booty Parlor Mojo Makeover: Four Weeks to a Sexier You, it popped out at me instantly. All I wanted was my confidence back. I wanted to feel sexy again. I wanted to be comfortable in my own skin.
At first, I didn’t think anything could make me feel better about myself, other than losing the weight. But I was very wrong. I needed to change my attitude, not my appearance – and that’s what the Mojo Makeover did for me.
The Mojo Makeover
The Mojo Makeover is by Dana B. Myers, the creator of Booty Parlor. Dana has helped thousands of women create sexier lives that suit their unique personalities, preferences, and relationship statuses. “You’ll still be yourself. The Mojo Makeover process isn’t about changing who you are – it’s about highlighting everything that you already are, drawing on your passions, your personality, your past experiences, and your current preferences and relationships. It’s a formula for you to express the sexiest, most confident version of yourself. It’s all about tapping into what’s uniquely sexy about you. Think of it as your own personal sexual revolution. I’ve now done Mojo Makeovers with thousands of women across the country, and time after time I see incredible results. Imagine what a nation of Mojo-maxed women could accomplish. The revolution starts with you.”
The Mojo Makeover is a four-week plan to guide you in finding your inner Mojo. There are weekly activities that are designed to help grow your Mojo. In the beginning of the book, there is a questionnaire to determine which model is your current sexy lifestyle persona. There are five different mojo models – the pleasure virgin, the adventure seeker, the busy mommy, the frustrated fox, and the late bloomer. There are a few supplies you need which are simple things like a journal, a full length mirror, a stack of fashion and celebrity magazines (old or new), a corkboard or large piece of construction paper and school supplies. Along the way there are opportunities for shopping for lingerie, sex toys and some other materials to enhance the experience.
Week 1: Clean Out Your Sexual Closet
During week one, Dana helps clean out our emotional and sensual closet so we can make room for a more enthusiastic, satisfied sexy lifestyle. She helps you dig up some past experiences (good and bad) so that you can recognize what is clouding your mojo. This was the most difficult part for me because she focuses solely on boosting your self-confidence. As I stated before, that’s my biggest issue. I couldn’t give myself compliments in the mirror, because I knew they were lies. One activity includes taking negative body banter and turning it into a positive thing. While I looked at myself in the mirror, with just a bra and underwear on, I could only see was my “fat” stomach. The only positive I could think of is, “you’re not THAT fat”. I couldn’t lie to myself and say I was skinny. It was very difficult, however, I knew I needed to do it. I finally talked myself into it and it worked. I’m beautiful. I just needed to step out of the stereotypical ‘perfect’ girl mentality.
Week 2: Infuse Every Day with Sex Appeal
Dana says, “I believe sex and sexiness are as important as eating, drinking, and working out.” Week two is about bringing sexy into your life on a daily basis. It has tips and tricks you can infuse into your every day life to feel, think, and act sexier. This week’s activity is a girl’s night. As if that’s such a hard activity! The catch is you have to have a sex-talk session. It’s important to have a comfortable space to discuss your problems. You may not be able to find the answer, but being able to talk honestly can point you in the right direction. Dana provides tips to getting the conversation started – scripts, questions and fantasies.
Week 3: Have the Sex You Need & Deserve
Week three is where the sexual transformation actually begins. How to communicate with your lover, the Big 5-O program, sexy accessories, and talking dirty. Taking a part in the Big 5-O program means devoting yourself to having five orgasms a week. “The more Os you have, the easier and faster they’ll happen for you, and the more you’ll want. Having more orgasms will further infuse your life with sexiness, build a stronger connection to and acceptance of your body, and encourage more goodness to come your way!” Dana touches on self-service orgasms, as well as achieving orgasms with your partner. The sexy accessories chapter gives vital information on vibrators and products that can help boost your mojo. Also, tips for buying your first toy!
Week 4: Mastering Your Mojo
During this week, Dana focuses a lot on foreplay and connecting with your partner, as well as lingerie, fantasies and flirting. “Sex isn’t about only the end result; it’s about the journey that builds up to the end result.” Foreplay can be an opportunity to connect, build intimacy, focus on the five senses, and build up anticipation for the Big O. There are eight ways to enjoy the sex before the sex, and we focus primarily on these throughout the chapter. To end the mojo makeover, we go through a list of vital things to remember about your journey the past four weeks, and a few more tips for the road.
Overall, I loved The Official Booty Parlor Mojo Makeover. It really helped me become more confident and comfortable in my body again. I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling with their mojo. This book can work for ANYONE, and you are able to customize your experience.
