I am so grateful that I had the chance to intern for SGP. Not only was I able to work one on one with clients, but I was also given the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Throughout my internship, I was continuously supported and inspired by others who were also a part of the SGP team. Now that I’ve experienced this internship, my confidence and knowledge in working with others is apparent. I would recommend the internship program with SGP and thoroughly enjoyed my time as an intern for such a great company.

Words from our Writers & Interns

“Working with the CEO and editors of Slutty Girl Problems has helped me to develop my writing skills, organize my ideas, and define my voice. I’ve become a much sharper writer, and am better able to articulate my thoughts, especially in feminist theory and discussion. My ability to write academically has really improved! The CEO and editors have always been there to offer their support, give me suggestions and ideas, and ultimate grow my writing ability.”  – T.M., SGP Writer, Summer 2014

“When I first became a writer for Slutty Girl Problems, I had no idea what I wanted to major in and pursue for my career. Since I’ve been here, I’ve learned so much about myself, my goals, and what I want to study and do in the future. The team gave me the support and insight I needed to plan ahead.”  – R.S., SGP Writer, Spring 2014

“I am SO thankful and grateful for all the consistent feedback, support, and honesty! I’m really excited to write more posts, and just wanted to say a big thank you to [Slutty Girl Problems] for all the encouragement and positivity [she] emits; AND for being an amazing coach/boss/editor/slutty momma.” – M.B., SGP Writer Fall 2014

“Writing for Slutty Girl Problems has completely turned my life around. Though that may sound exaggerated, which it might be, I am so thankful to have this opportunity in my life. Before I started writing for SGP, I was in a relationship where everything I’d ever identified with sexually was being questioned and called wrong, even though my sexuality is the only thing about myself of which I’ve always been certain. As I ended my relationship and came out of the “I want to be a housewife” vortex I’d created for myself, Slutty Girl Problems welcomed me with all its pink, glittery glory.

Even the act of just getting interest back from my application was a pivotal point in my life. I’d just changed my major though I knew this new road wasn’t right, it was the only thing I’d ever been good at. After SGP expressed interest in my writing and my first article was so well received (and is one of our most popular of all times) I realized just how much more I am capable of.

Writing for SGP has taken me from a little girl who was too jaded to ever believe there was a point in pursuing her writing talent, to a girl who identifies as a writer and a journalist proudly and loudly.

I am so thankful to my SGP team and though some of it was just really good timing, they found me when I was trying to be Barbie and am helping me become an educated feminist with a radical agenda to educate youth on the REAL facts about sex.

I have no idea what job I’ll do for the rest of my life, but you can be sure writing will always be one of them.” – E.A., SGP Writer, Winter 2014
