While power and ingenuity are my first concerns when shopping for a new vibe, I can’t help but be interested in toys that are aesthetically pleasing. I was immediately drawn to the Diamond Fairy because of it’s pretty design.  As someone who loves all things sparkly, I absolutely had to have this vibrator in my life. Unfortunately, it isn’t very strong, but these vibrations would still be great for a beginner or someone who prefers a lighter vibration. If you like rhinestones, this traditional vibrator might just be a good option!

Adorable Design

The first thing anyone might notice about the Diamond Fairy is the adorable collection of sealed rhinestones along its base that are the inspiration for its name. These rhinestones add a unique sparkle that makes this item a treasure in your toy chest. Extending from the rhinestones is the shaft on one side and the battery compartment, concealed by a plastic twist-off lid, on the other. One AA battery is used to operate this vibe, and once twisted back on properly the battery compartment is waterproof.

For me, the shaft of the Diamond Fairy was absolutely the perfect size and shape. The smooth, nonporous texture is great, making it great for thrusting. The girth was pleasant without being intimidating. Just a little over five inches in length with no curve, this toy probably isn’t good for G-spot stimulation in most users. Further, there is absolutely no give to the matte silicone. I wasn’t able to hit my G-spot, but I still really enjoyed the vaginal stimulation the Diamond Fairy provided. The ridges are great for vaginal stimulation, while the rounded, slightly pointed tip is perfect for buzzing on your clit.

Vibrations & Power

I admittedly wasn’t expecting much from the Diamond Fairy aside from its looks, and I wasn’t too surprised by what I got out of it. However, that isn’t to say I didn’t have fun using this toy. There are only three vibration settings, and unfortunately they are all pretty loud… and also felt like the battery was rattling around in the chamber. On the other hand, the vibrations are felt throughout the toy which led to some great stimulation. The speeds can be switched by pressing the only button on the toy, located at the base.

While I was able to enjoy the power of this toy, I think it’s better for less experienced users. While playing with the Diamond Fairy, I kept thinking that I wished it had been my first vibrator. The vibrations weren’t quite rumbly or powerful enough for me, but still decent quality for the price. The non-intimidating size and design of this toy definitely make it great for a beginner. I plan to pull this toy out with a partner in the future. It’s absolutely adorable and more experienced users could still incorporate it into foreplay, especially with a new partner who they might not feel comfortable sharing more intimidating toys with.

As far as the battery life on this toy goes, maybe the batteries I’ve been pulling out of my drawer are a little old, but I really feel like it zaps energy pretty quickly. On my third use of the Diamond Fairy, I turned on the toy and was incredibly disappointed that it was barely rumbling. (Think what your cell phone does when you get a Twitter notification.) I switched batteries and things were back to normal, but I definitely think the batteries are draining within the toy even when I’m not actively using it.

Overall

If you’re a beginner or just looking for a pretty, shiny new toy for your collection, then the beautiful Diamond Fairy is definitely worth a shot. I really enjoyed this toy, though as someone who has played with more than few sex toys, it left a lot to be desired. To be honest, I wish I could travel back in time and give the Diamond Fairy to myself as my first vibrator! I’m glad to add the Diamond Fairy to my collection for future use with a partner, or just to get things started during a play session by myself. Hey, you can never go wrong with rhinestones!
