Anyone who pays attention media in this decade knows about Fifty Shades of Grey, a somewhat BDSM-based trilogy. Blindfold

If I didn’t associate the blindfold with the act of being aroused, I would be one of those girls who wore a sleeping mask to bed every night. But, I can’t help but get turned on just at the thought of them, so I’d never be able to sleep. This mask helps heighten all of your other senses by cutting off your sense of sight. Once you put on the blindfold, it doesn’t feel like you are wearing hardly anything across your face. Due to the silk material, it is soft to the touch and it gently caresses the skin on your face. With the exception of a little light showing through the edges, which is to be expected, it cuts out all of your line of sight. I personally have a lot of hair, and I was happy to see that it didn’t get caught up in or pull my hair, even after extended use.

Paddle

Next up, the paddle. I found that this paddle was definitely a beginner paddle. Despite the sturdiness of is inside, which does leave a biting sting after you are hit with it, it still feels a bit flimsy compared to others I’ve tried. However, given the rest of the quality of the set, it’s still well worth it for anyone who doesn’t yet have their collection of BDSM gear in swing. It was pretty fun to play with, and I definitely liked that it was soft and smooth, and it had the ability to leave plenty of (wonderful) red marks. If you are an experienced person, this paddle might not be for you because it is on the light side compared to other paddles. However, it’s still a nice option if you’re new to paddling!

Restraints

This has to be my favorite part of this entire kit. These silk restraints have to be the softest, yet sturdiness restraints I’ve ever used. Personally, I prefer them over cuffs and rope. They don’t cut into your wrists or leave marks when you’re done. They easily hide behind your bed, so you don’t ever have to remove them from sight (which you shouldn’t have to do anyway). The restraints are made of silk, and they are incredibly soft, which make them perfect for beginners and experienced kinksters alike.

I’m glad I was able to test this kit out out. It was a great first step into the world of kink, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The kit is perfect for anyone new to the world, or people who have practiced kink before but don’t yet have all their gear. Even taking out the namesake, Fifty Shades, this kit is worth every penny that you put into it, especially for someone who just wants to get started into the world of BDSM!
