I’m yet to discover a lube that tastes better than Sex Tarts! Having used – and LOVED – the Watermelon Splash and Green Apple Fizz (which is my favorite) flavors from Sex Tarts in the past, I was more than excited to try out their Strawberry Punch variety. Unfortunately, I’m not so in love with their ingredient list.

Tantalizing Taste

There is no doubt in my mind that Sex Tarts makes the most delicious lubes I’ve ever been in contact with and Strawberry Punch is no exception. It’s sweet yet tangy and because of its tangy edge, my salivary glands were working overtime – a perfect side effect when it comes to oral sex. Unlike most flavoured lubes on the market, this has NO noticeable aftertaste of artificial sweetener. In fact, this lube is so tasty I almost want to just eat it straight out of the bottle like candy!

Consistency and Texture

Sex Tarts Strawberry Punch is a fairly runny and watery lube. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing for oral sex, but I found that it tended to run down the shaft of the penis and pool up quite easily. Due to its texture, it’s not ideal for other types or sex or for use with toys. However, the good news is that I didn’t find it to be sticky or tacky at all, either on my fingers or in my mouth.

Ingredient List

While I love the way that the Sex Tarts line of lubricants taste, they do contain some troubling ingredients. This lube contains both glycerine and parabens. It also contains alcohol. Because alcohol is known to be drying, it is strange to me that it would be included as an ingredient in any lubricant. Furthermore, this product also contains diazolidinyl urea; I wasn’t previously familiar with this substance but some quick research showed me that diazolidinyl urea is a preservative and is known to cause allergic reactions in some people (approximately 1 in 1000). However, I have sensitive skin and several allergies, and this line of products has never irritated or bothered me in any way – as with all products though, use at your own risk.

Pros & Cons

Overall

I love the way that Sex Tarts Strawberry Punch tastes, and with no aftertaste, the Sex Tarts line, as a whole, is the best tasting lube I’ve ever tried, though I wish it had a cleaner formula. If you’re looking for a delectable way to add variety to your oral sex routine, and don’t care about ingredients, I would definitely recommend giving Strawberry Punch a chance!
