Curved Hot/Cold “Pleasure Pottery”

Pipedream’s unique Ceramix line takes the same ceramic you played with in art class to a new and naughty level. Coined “Pleasure Pottery”, this line of sex toys pushes the artistic limit, effectively going where no toy has gone before. This line of sex toy is beautifully crafted from the innocent material we made mugs for our mothers and fathers with at age 9. As a vase, ceramic pleased our parents with bright colors and classic designs. As sex toys, ceramic pleases everyone with a line of quirky and whimsical bullets, vibrators, dildos, and butt plugs – toys that our art teachers would have banished from the classroom.

The Ceramix #4 is a cute and quirky example of just one of the many dildos and toys in the Ceramix line. At a glance, it is a totally body-safe g-spot dildo with a rounded tip and textured shaft for additional sensation and pleasure. It is the perfect size, shape, and design for g-spot stimulation, but even better, is a lightweight hollow toy that can be filled with water for some temperature play or a heavy “water-bed” sensation. With such unique features and a gorgeous design, the Ceramix #4 quickly because one of my favorite dildos ever – and I would recommend it to anyone looking to add a unique and one-of-a-kind toy to their collection.

Like the Ceramix #8 and all other toys in Pipedream’s gorgeous Ceramix line, the Ceramix #4 is uniquely make of ceramic, bringing the phrase “pleasure pottery” to life. Pottery as a sex toy continues to baffle my mind… and makes me wonder if Pipedream has considered making naughty coffee mugs that also double as dildos. Simply put, ceramic as a sex toy material is amazing. The rounded tip and shaft are smooth and seamless, with a few bumps, ridges, and ribs along the shaft for some extra stimulation. Yet at the same time, this smooth material is firm and unforgiving – perfect for wrestling with a picky g-spot. However, unlike the Ceramix #8 which felt nearly unbreakable, the Ceramix #4 has a hollow center that feels like it would feel pretty fragile in a fall – though it could definitely withstand a fall from the bed onto a rug without breaking.

Beyond the unique and textured (yet smooth) feel of ceramic, it is an eco-friendly alternative to plastic and silicone sex toys. It is made from natural, recyclable materials that are body-safe, hypoallergenic, nonporous, and perfect for temperature play. The outside of the toy is shiny and sleek, attributed to a glaze that is applied after the ceramics are fired in the kiln. Pipedream’s representatives wrote me, “the glaze acts as a sealer and is the same type of glaze used on dinner ware or coffee cups. The glaze keeps the colors from smearing or coming off, and it is completely body-safe.” Makes sense to me… ceramic is used in mugs and dish ware… we trust that, so I totally trust these toys. When it comes to cleaning and care, this waterproof toy can be easily washed with a gentle anti-bacterial soap and hot water. Pipedream assured me that their hollow Ceramix dildos could be could withstand the heat of boiling or the dishwasher without breaking – but I wouldn’t really trust it for this particular toy.

The Ceramix #4 has a quirky design reminiscent of Dr. Seuss – with whimsical curves and adorable dots, some of which are textures for some extra pleasure along the shaft. It stands at 7 inches tall (most of which is insertable). The largest point (the head) is 4.75 inches around, and smaller along the shaft – 4 inches just under the head, gradually expanding to 4.75 inches at the base. Despite the relatively large head, the toy has a very rounded and gradual shaft. That along with a very smooth material makes it easy to slide into your body and glide along your curves. It was a very comfortable and pleasurable feeling for me, with a nice enough curve to stimulate my g-spot after a bit of thrusting. The curve is not so pronounced that it will poke or assault your g-spot against your will, but if you’re looking for a g-spot orgasm and know how to achieve it via thrusting, the firm material and pronounced head will definitely be able to bring you there.

Temperature Play

As an added bonus, you can even put hot or cold water in the Ceramix #4 for some hot/cold feelings or a unique “tidal wave” sensation. A silicone “cork” or stopper at the bottom of the toy can be removed to pour in hot or cold water. Simply adding in water, regardless of the temperature, makes this typically light-weight dildo a bit heavier, with a new sensation. Depending on how much water you put into the shaft, you can get an interesting wave sensation that mimics that motions of your thrusts, and puts even more pressure on your g-spot and vaginal walls. With cold or hot water, the ceramic material nearly instantly adjusts to the temperature. Personally, I’m not partial to cold temps inside my vagina… but warm water felt very erotic and stimulating.

Pros & Cons

  • Really unique and pleasurable materials
  • Interesting, textured design for g-spot play
  • Great for temperature play
  • Cute paint job

  • None!

I absolutely loved this Ceramix #4 dildo, even more so than the Ceramix #8 vibrator. The ceramic has a unique feel and novelty that can’t be beat – but this toy also has an incredibly pleasurable design that perfectly hit my g-spot, and a lot of versatility with both temperature play and the intense wave sensation. Even if you have a dildo that you already love, this is an incredible toy to add to your collection. It’s totally unique and unlike any toy I’ve ever tried. Whether you’re just starting your collection or are an avid collector of the finer toys in life, the Ceramix #4 is a must-have for your naughty drawer.
