Pleasurable Design
When I first opened the Je Joue Nuo’s package I was a little nervous about the size of the head, and as someone who isn’t shy of anal play, that’s saying something. This toy is fairly large, though with some good water-based lubricant and some warm up, it’s curved, simple, sleek design can be easily inserted. After lubing up the body of the Nuo, I was able to insert it without much difficulty. Now, that’s not to say there wasn’t any discomfort. The head of the Nuo is very large, so the inserting process can get a little dicey, but once I got it into the right position comfortably, I was perfectly fine.
Once inside, the curved design is incredibly pleasurable – and I imagine it’d be even more lovely for someone with a prostate. The super smooth silicone material feels great against your skin and slides in smoothly. It is also incredibly easy to clean. Since the toy is waterproof, you can run it under warm water with antibacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaner. You can even use it in the shower or bath! Just make sure to avoid silicone-based lubricants with this toy, as it could degrade the material.
Vibrations & Controls
First things first, you need to pair the Je Joue Nuo with the pen or with the app, both of which are pretty easy. Just hold down the pen top and once the light flashes blue and red, alternating, you’re good to go. The top of the pen spins which controls the speed of the vibrations and you click the top of the pen to change the vibration patterns as well. After a few clicks and spins of the pen top I was able to find that Cascade, Mood, and Intense are my favorite patterns, in that order. Once you’re done playing, just hold down on the top of the pen again and it will turn the pen off.
After you pair the Nuo with the remote or with the bluetooth app you are able to turn up the speed and the pattern of vibration. There are two motors inside the Nuo for internal and external pleasure. There are SEVEN different patterns and they are worth trying. The patterns are as follows:
- Cascade – Uses both internal and external motors
- Pulse – Uses only external motors
- Soft – Uses only internal motors
- Intense – Alternate vibrations from internal and external motors
- Energize – Alternate 2 external vibrations to 1 internal vibrations
- Glow – Strong external vibrations
- Mood – Stronger internal vibrations.
As far as the external and internal motors, the internal motor is great, but once it gets up to the highest speed it makes an almost rumbly noise. The external motor is basically nonexistent and what little vibration it does give you can be annoying. The internal motor is incredible and it makes the toy worth every penny, even with the shoddy external motor.
