The Ovo S1 is a beautiful and adorably small vibrator that has seven different functions, is waterproof, fits in the palm of my hand, and is made of luxuriously soft and flexible silicone. While it did deliver an amazing orgasm, it took a whole lot of effort to bring it forth, as this vibrator has generally light, buzzy vibrations. If you’re new to the vibrator scene, you might have an easy time getting off with the S1. However, given that I almost exclusively masturbate with strong vibrators, the S1 fell shy of its competition. It’s still a nice quality, well-designed toy that would be great for those who prefer light vibrations or are new to vibrators all together.

When the Ovo S1 first arrived, I was surprised at how tiny it was! No longer than my middle finger and no thicker than my wrist. It has a very pretty, lightweight, feather-like design that easily contours to your body, and can be used for pinpoint or broad stimulation. This waterproof 7-speed vibrator packs a moderate and relatively quiet punch. Inside the small white box it comes and is stored in was the S1, its USB charging cord, and two small white pieces of paper – one a tiny catalogue of their various products, the other a set of instructions told solely through pictures. It was difficult to get the charging cord into it: there’s a very small hole in the bottom of the S1 where the cord is to be inserted, although actually inserting it feels like you’re going to break it since there’s so much resistance. The hole that the cord goes in is surrounded and filled with that soft silicone, which is a big factor in why it feels like there’s resistance. However, this makes it waterproof. But once it’s charged up, it’s time to turn it on!
S1 in Action
With your fully-charged S1 in hand, you’ll notice there are only two buttons, right in the center of the front. The top button, when held in for a moment, starts the vibrations; the bottom button, once the toy is already on, turns down the vibrations. Pressing the center between the two buttons turns the S1 off entirely. It has seven different functions, as follows:
- Light, solid vibration throughout the entire toy
- Stronger, solid vibration throughout the entire toy
- Waves of vibration – it starts of strong, goes to very light, and back again
- Pulsing vibration throughout the entire toy
- The same vibrations as above, but quicker
- Two short vibrations and one long vibration
- Rapid pulsing vibrations and then one long vibration
The vibrations are overall light and surface level – best for beginners or those who prefer lighter vibrations. Seeing as I’m the type of person who prefers a solid vibration rather than a pattern, I didn’t have much interest in using the S1 as a clitoral vibe – but it definitely has potential to be used elsewhere. The vibrations feel much stronger on other body parts – namely nipples and dicks/balls – and the patterns add an interesting touch to it. Two things I really like about the S1 would be that the feather-like tip of it is actually very flexible, and that the vibration actually reaches throughout the entire thing.

The Ovo S1 is a beautiful and mysterious miniature vibrator upon first glance, but its uses are more suitable as a “vibrating feather” as its page in the catalogue suggests. It has plenty of positives about it once you get a good understanding of how it works, and I’d say it’s a useful vibrator to add to my arsenal. However, it would be a better fit for someone who prefers higher vibrations. The toy itself is very much like a feather, giving the user plenty of possibilities in how to use it. It’s a great vibrator for someone inexperienced with vibrators or not used to strong vibrations. It’s a great vibrator for couples, too!
