Name: Pjur Med After Shave
Type: After Shave
By: Pjur

Hearts: 3 Hearts
Quality: 4 Stars

Ingredients: Aqua, Phenoxyethanol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Dimethicone Copolyol, Neohesperidin, Sorbitol

How to Use

Pjur Med After Shave comes in a 100ml spray bottle, for easy use. Just a couple quick spritzes and you’re good to go, it’s that simple. You don’t have to awkwardly lather it on yourself (and end up getting more on your hands then where you shaved) and it’s easy to use right in the shower if you prefer to. Each spray releases a fairly liberal amount of product, so need to overdo it.

The Benefits

Pjur claims that this aftershave is calming, nourishing, and moisturizing. It’s definitely moisturizing, and the effects are easily noticeable after use. I can’t speak for whether it is calming or not, as my skin was not stressed or irritated to begin with. But, it certainly didn’t become irritated at all after use. I imagine it would be effective at calming already-there razor bumps. It also is designed to reduce germs that cause bacteria and fungi, though I can’t say firsthand whether this is true or not either because it’s not an issue I’ve ever experienced.

This after-shave is free of perfumes and alcohols. It is supposed to be odorless because of this, but I do notice a faint chemical odor while wet, though nothing unpleasant and it disappears once dry.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Moisturizing
  • Alcohol-free, so it doesn’t irritate the skin
  • Easy to apply

Cons:

  • Not actually odorless (though the smell is very faint)

Overall

Overall, I would recommend Pjur Med After Shave because it’s moisturizing and designed to prevent razor bumps and burn. Although in my personal experience, I didn’t have any razor burn to begin with, the moisturizing effects were definitely noticeable. If you’re looking for this type of product, I’d recommend it!
