I’ve been eager to try a toy from the Satisfyer line since the day I first learned of their existence. I absolutely LOVED the Womanizer, and the Satisfyer boasts both a lower price tag, and the ability to completely submerge the toy underwater. Two of my fellow Slutty Girls gave the Satisfyer Pro 2 and the Satisfyer Pro Penguin “satisfied” (*wink, wink*) reviews, which only added fuel to my fire. So when I was given the opportunity to try out the budget friendly, battery powered Satisfyer 2 – I was definitely stoked! Sadly the toy didn’t live up to my expectations, but it won’t break the bank if you want to try it out anyway.

Sleek Design

One thing that I will give the Satisfyer 2 points for is its design. I love the color combination of the white and bronze-y rose gold; it’s a beautiful and welcome change from the plethora of pink and purple toys I’ve become accustomed to seeing. While it’s a little large, even when compared to other offerings from the Satisfyer line, the overall shape is still sleek with smooth lines. It’s a nice toy to look at, and is definitely more visually appealing than competing brands. The Satisfyer 2 also doesn’t immediately look like a sex toy, so while I wouldn’t label it as discreet, it doesn’t scream VIBRATOR either.

I also like that the Satisfyer 2 offers a wallet friendly alternative to other oral sex simulators like it.  Because it’s battery operated (by two AAA batteries), the price isn’t an arm and a leg.  There’s no compromise on features though, as the specially designed battery compartment still allows the toy to remain completely waterproof, including submersible.

Sensation Not Quite for Me

I wanted to love the Satisfyer 2, but it just doesn’t do it for me (and by “it”, I unfortunately mean “give me an orgasm”). Though this toy has a wide selection of eleven speeds to choose from, none of them were particularly pleasurable for me. Unlike a traditional vibrator, the Satisfyer line works with a combination of indirect sensations of pressure and suction, which is intended to feel reminiscent of a skilled oral sex partner. There were light, teasing settings, and strong, intense settings – plus everything in between – but none of them felt quite right to me.

But, that doesn’t mean the sensations aren’t right for everyone! Take it from our reviewer of the Satisfyer Pro 2,

The light suction of the first few levels was a tease for me, the mid-levels got me going (and got me off), while the highest levels just felt like hickey material… Someone who needs more or less suction than I do could almost certainly find what they were looking for. While it might not be for everyone, and isn’t even always for me, this is still a fabulous toy – one that I’m very happy to add to my collection.

I was excited to try the toy underwater also, as it promises that the pressure and suction are increased by the water pressure. I was hopeful that the bath tub might be the secret to making the Satisfyer 2 work for me, but alas. Though the water pressure did indeed increase the pressure sensations of the toy, it still didn’t feel orgasmic to me – it just felt like a sensation. It’s also a tad on the loud side, so I would’t recommend it if you have thin walls and roommates.

I used the Satisfyer 2 on more than ten different occasions, both in water and out, and with copious amounts of water-based lubricant. Despite numerous attempts, I experienced a grand total of zero orgasms…

Cleaning & Care

This toy is super easy to clean and keep in tip-top condition. The silicone head of the Satisfyer 2 is removable and can be washed with a toy cleaner or mild soap. You can also boil the head in water to sterilize it.  Not included, but available for purchase separately, you can buy a set of five replacement heads. If you’re sharing the toy with a partner, this is a great option, but it’s also nice if you lose the head or damage it.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Budget friendly
  • Waterproof

Cons

  • Didn’t work for me
  • Somewhat loud
  • Somewhat large

Overall

I didn’t like the Satisfyer 2. While it was high-quality and there was nothing wrong with the design of the toy itself, it just wasn’t pleasurable for me to use. I suspect the rechargeable toys in the Satisfyer line (such as the Satisfyer Pro 2) would be a better option as I’ve heard rave reviews on its functionality and power. However, if you want to try something new or like sensations that are unusual and out of the ordinary, this might be the toy for you. This version is a touch cheaper than the Pro 2 as well, so may be a better starter toy.
