Delve into Darkness

Blindfolds are the perfect way to bring kink into the bedroom – especially if you’re explore bondage toys and BDSM. Whether you’re just starting to explore your hidden fantasy, of you’re an experienced kinkster, you can always find new and exciting ways to use blindfolds in you sexscapades. If you’re new to sensory deprivation, blindfolds can be used in subtle, sexy ways. Put it on before your parter teases you… with his hands, his tongue, or even toys. Not knowing what your partner will do next creates a lot of sexy suspense, and taking your vision out of the picture will allow you to focus on the sensations and enhance your sensory experience. In the context of a BDSM scene, blindfolds can really ramp up the anticipation. Will he be using the flogger, riding crop, whip… or simply his hand! Hearing him rummage through your drawers for lube won’t sound like he’s fumbling… instead, you’ll be tied up wondering what toy he’s looking for… and giddily anticipating how it will feel once he returns. The Details

Just like men, not all blindfolds are made the same. Some are too thin or loose, allowing light to pass through or get in along the edges and ruin the experience. Others are too tight or thick, making you think you’re being suffocated in a too-intense experience. Some are just made of shitty materials, making your hair get caught in seams and buckles, or your skin itch wildly. Since this blindfold was so cheap, I had really low expectations. I thought it would be scratchy, too tight, and downright uncomfortable. But, I was seriously surprised at the quality! This particular blindfold avoids all these issues, and is truly the perfect comfortable fit. It’s made of relatively nice materials for the price, and is just the right size to fit snugly, without letting in too much light. It’s not as restrictive as harsh leather blindfolds, which give total sensory deprivation, and can sometimes be uncomfortable, hot, or intimidating. It’s a simple, easy, and comfortable blindfold that’s great for a variety of sensory play, and could even be used as a sleep mask. It’s great for a beginner or anyone who’s interested in kink play, without the harsh confines of more restrictive sensory gear.

Although it is light-weight and simple, this blindfold is perfect for any standard use. It’s incredibly comfortable, and the stitching and elastic is soft, with no metal, buckles, ties, velcro, or anything else that can hurt or get caught in your hair. Unless you’re being super rough and pulling at the elastic (which I wouldn’t recommend) this blindfold will hold up wear after wear. It’s thick enough to not let light through, but it does allow some light in at the sides of the nose. You can “peek” out… so, this would not be the best toy for total sensory deprivation. But if you have your eyes closed, aren’t trying to cheat, and are in a low lit room… you won’t be able to notice the little bit of peek through, unless you’re looking for it. It’s great even for naps to block out some sunlight, and it is definitely comfortable enough to wear for an extended time.

Unless you’re allergic to polyester, this blindfold is very body-safe. Considering it makes contact with your skin rather than inside your body, it will generally stay very clean, unless you’re playing dirty. If it does get dirty, you can use a clean, damp cloth to rub it down, with gentle anti-bacterial soap on any “problem spots”. I would not recommend washing or submerging in water, as it could ruin the fabric and elastic, especially with heat in the washer or dryer. It’s easy to keep this blindfold tucked away in my toy dresser, right next to my handcuffs and tethers, folded up or lying flat. It’s small, lightweight, and bendable, making it a breeze to store and travel with anywhere.
