Initially when I saw the Intimate Earth Vanilla Caramel Warming Glide, I was really excited. I always wanted to try a scented and flavored lube, and I love the warming feature. However, after using the lube, I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. The scent was far too strong, and I found the texture to be runny, watery, and not long-lasting. Similarly, the warming feature wasn’t long lasting. Unfortunately, this just wasn’t the right fit for me, but might work for people who prefer a very thin lubricant and don’t mind such a strong scent.

Strong Scent, Watery Texture

Upon receiving Intimate Earth lubricant, I immediately opened it and gave it a smell. Expecting vanilla and caramel scent, it actually smelled a lot more like strong syrup. At first I liked it, but as time went and the smell lingered, it started to get far too strong. by I could still smell it. The smell lingers, for a while, and eventually gave me a head ache. It took me about 3 washes to get the smell off of my hands. Plus, the cap wasn’t well-fit and leaked in my drawer, giving it an overwhelming scent overall.

Unfortunately, the texture of the lubricant wasn’t quite right either. It was runny and watery, making it difficult to apply and use. As I used it, it dried too quickly and actually started to get sticky – like a syrup. On top of that, the warming feeling went away too fast! While it was easy to clean up, it did leave a sticky residue before cleaning rather than gently fading away.

Overall

I had high expectations for Intimate Earth Vanilla Caramel Warming Glide, and unfortunately it just wasn’t a home run. I wouldn’t recommend this lubricant, however, someone who prefers a very light lubricant and don’t mind it getting sticky might enjoy it. Intimate Earth is still a great company with a line of other gorgeous products (especially their massage oils and clitoral stimulating gel) – this one just wasn’t quite right.
