Editorial Internship

Slutty Girl Problems is looking for talented, creative editorial interns to work on a part-time basis, remotely.

 

Position:    Editorial Intern / Junior Editor
Industry:   Journalism, Media, and Sexuality
Location:   Remotely
When:        Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer
Commitment:       Part Time (20 hours/week) or quarter time (10 hours/week).
Days & Hours:      Flexible – Preferably Monday through Friday
Compensation:    Unpaid. Sales commissions are a possibility.
School Credit Available?:   Yes
Deadline to Apply:   Accepting on a rolling basis for future interns.

 

Internship Description

Interns will assist the CEO with all editorial tasks, including: writing & editing the text and formatting of articles, researching photos for posts, maintaining the editorial calendar, working with writers to provide feedback and suggest changes, writing and refining descriptions, social copy, and email copy, seeking new topics and current trends, managing content partnerships, and other projects. Interns are given high-level tasks and a lot of responsibility!

Interns work directly with the Slutty Girl Problems remotely, on a part-time basis. Hours are flexible. We require regular contact, and a staff meeting each week. This internship is unpaid, but you may receive commission for some assignments, free products, or other perks. Interns can receive school credit if desired.

 

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must be current college students or post-graduates with a passion for and understanding of Slutty Girl Problems. Previous editorial experience is a plus. Writing skills are a must.

Candidates must be self-motivated, creative, dedicated, passionate, organized, efficient, and detail-oriented. Interns are considered SGP staff, and as such, are expected to perform top-notch work.
