Material

The best thing about Tantus, hands down, is their incredibly high-quality choice of material. All of Tantus’s toys are made of a 100% medical-grade, ultra-premium silicone blend that is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, phthalate free, odorless, and tasteless… which is especially important when you’re talking about anal toys, as that tissue is especially sensitive. This particular silicone has a velvety matte finish, which has very little drag when inserted. You’ll definitely want a bit of lube to ensure that entry is smooth and seamless, but once it’s in, you’ll be able to hold it in without slipping and sliding around. Whether you’re using it vaginally or anally, it holds lube like a champ and will glide against you without any uncomfortable friction, as if they belonged there the whole time. This particular silicone is even a bit bendable and flexible, so it can conform to your body comfortably – but isn’t so soft that you’re struggling to get it inside you. The particular silicone isn’t a dust-magnet, so you won’t have to worry about it getting yuck in storage.

Size & Design

I initially thought that the Flirt butt plug was the perfect design for an anal beginner. Looking back, the Flirt is still a great and comfortable anal toy that would make an easy transition into anal play – but the Perfect Plugs are even better. The design is slimmer and tinier for easy insertion, but offers a bit more texture for extra pleasure. The base is also very easy to hold and thrust, and it’s flared enough that you don’t feel like it will easily get lost inside you if you slip up. The straight design of the base allows you to easily grip it, and sits comfortably between your butt cheeks.

The smaller version of the Perfect Plug is a very comfortable and approachable size. It has an insertable length of 3.5 inches, and is about the size of my finger in girth. It’s just .75 inches across at it’s largest point. The top is gently pointed for easy insertion, and gradually increases. Then, there is a small indentation and bump before you reach the rest of the shaft and flared base. If you can take a finger in your asshole, you can definitely fit this Perfect Plug comfortably! It is truly meant to be a beginner’s toy – i.e.: someone who’s never tried anal play before. It would likely be unsatisfying for an anal adventurer. For me, it is pleasurable to thrust, but can hardly be felt when inserted and worn.

The larger vibrating version, the Perfect Plug Plus, is closer to the Flirt in size. I’d recommend this version for anyone who’s experienced anal toys before, or already knows that they are at least somewhat comfortable with anal play. The insertable length is a very comfortable 4 inches, and the girth is about the size of 4 fingers. The diameter is 1.2 inches across at the largest point, and smaller throughout. It has a slightly different design than it’s smaller version. It has a slightly rounded head, which is still easy for insertion, before slimming down and opening again with another bump. The shaft portion before the flared base is thin and longer. Overall, this is a great comfortable toy to experiment more with anal play, and the bumps give a very satisfying sensation. It can also be worn throughout the day, with more stimulation and noticeability than the smaller plug. Due to the size, it’s also a bit firmer and heavier – which gives a more satisfying sensation

Vibration and Power

Like other vibrators from Tantus, this vibrating butt plug has a small hole which perfectly fits the bullet it comes with. You can also fit your own small bullet into the space. The bullet itself is nice quality for a one-speed vibrator, and is great for pinpoint stimulation. This particular bullet is nicer than their usually one-speed version. It has three vibration speeds and one pulsing pattern. It also feels stronger than their typical bullet, although it’s still a moderate vibration. Strangely, I cannot turn this bullet off without taking out the battery – the patterns just endlessly cycle. But, no worries. Unlike other Tantus toys, this vibrator’s power is not lost when it’s inserted into the toy. Because the toy is so small, it easily travels through the entire shaft. It’s a very well-made design, and incredibly pleasurable! In terms of noise, this vibrator is relatively quiet. It sounds about as quiet as a cell phone’s vibration. Although it could be heard from under the covers, it definitely can’t be heard through a closed door.

Pros & Cons

Overall

Both Perfect Plugs are incredible beginner’s toys. The Perfect Plug small is best suited for a total beginner, while the Perfect Plug Plus is a more average yet still comfortable size. Both have a wonderful design and incredible body-safe materials. Either would be comfortable and pleasurable for the beginner, but I highly prefer the Plug Plus. I love that it’s heavier, larger, with more pronounced texture – and most of all, that it vibrates so strongly! Both are incredible toys, and would be a fabulous addition to any naughty drawer – especially for someone looking for the perfect plug for play, thrusting, and wear. Both come in purple and black in both sizes.
