Unboxing
The first thing I noticed when unboxing the Mimic is that it’s absolutely gorgeous. Shaped like a spade (or a stingray, my favorite aquatic animal), my toy is a lovely teal color. It also comes in my other two favorite colors – a pretty neon lavender and black. The Mimic is designed to fit the shape of the user’s hand. However, the shape does even more for that. Vibes can be felt throughout the entirety of the toy, from the base to the wings to the tip. The shape, not unlike that of a tongue, allows for all-over sensations. While the tip can be positioned on your clit, I also like using the toy by placing the body of it along my outer anatomy, with the tip slightly inserted inside my vaginal opening. All in all, this is the perfect toy for outer stimulation.
Vibrations and Controls
Before using, charge the Mimic for two hours. It comes with a USB charging cable that can be plugged into any USB port. The LED light goes solid once the Mimic is fully charged.
To turn the Mimic on and off, press and hold the center circle button. The plus and minus buttons can be used to switch between intensities, while the center button flips through the modes. There are eight modes: a steady vibration, four wave modes, and three pulse modes.
Personally, I feel that the vibrations are mid-level at strongest. Sometimes this works for me, but there are days I just need more intensity. I prefer a stronger vibration, but the Mimic’s shape and discretion make up for its lack of power.
Care and Cleaning
The Mimic is made from 100% body safe silicone. Clean it with soap and water or a silicone-safe toy cleaner. If you’re planning on using lubricant, make sure it’s silicone compatible! Always having the right lube is very important.
Feel free to submerge in water while cleaning this toy, or better yet – during playtime! The Mimic boasts that it’s 100% waterproof, and I look forward to using it during bath time.
