Design & Texture

The design and texture of the Elephant Trunk is incredibly unique and realistic. Although I haven’t seen or touched an elephant’s trunk in person, it looks and feels exactly as I would imagine it to (except the dildo trunk is much more smooth and clean). It has gentle texture throughout the trunk that is not overwhelming, and in fact isn’t very noticeable, but is perfect to make it look ultra realistic. It also has two gentle nose holes which, although a bit annoying to clean (Q-tips highly recommended), definitely adds to the realistic feel. If it weren’t in your bedside drawer, it would look awesome on your bookshelf.

It’s definitely a conversation piece! I went with the “Small” version, but there is also Medium and Large – so keep that in mind while choosing your own size. This version is definitely on the larger side of “small” and would be best for those who feel comfortable with larger partners or toys. Though, the gradually increasing girth does make the length of this toy fairy easy to insert, especially with a good body-safe, water-based lube. Personally, this toy requires a bit of warm-up for me, even though it’s the smallest size. If you’re a size queen, there’s definitely an Exotic-Erotics toy that can fit your preference. If you enjoy a stretching, fullness sensation – then this toy will absolutely be perfect for you. It also has a flared base, making it a great choice for anal play, or use with a harness.

Material

Exotic-Erotics uses a high-quality, medical grade, platinum-cure silicone. This material is 100% body safe, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, phthalate free, odorless, and tasteless… my absolute favorite material for a sex toy! I chose the medium firmness silicone – soft, pliably, and luxuriously plushy – though still firm enough to feel each and every texture and curve, and perfect for thrusting. It feels truly life-like, with a skin-life texture and shocking realness. If harder toys are your style though, you can request a firmer silicone when you order. The silicone has somewhat of a matte texture, giving it a little drag once inserted, but nothing a good water-based lube can’t fix. (Remember to never use silicone or oil based lube with silicone toys!)

Like other silicone toys, this trunk can be cleaned simply before and after every use with antibacterial soap and warm water. If you’re looking for a deep clean (especially if sharing between partners) this silicone is dishwasher safe, boil-able – to assure that it’s totally clean. If boiling, allow to boil in a pot for 3-5 minutes. Don’t use alcohol on silicone toys, as it could degrade the material. A handy toy-care card will be included with the dildo, along with a handy pouch for storage!

Colors

Each of these toys can be modeled with silicone in over 20 colors, including glow in the dark and florescent colors that change under black light. If you have a request for a color not listed, they can probably still make it happen for you. Some dildos come in a single color, while others can have 2 colors (one for the shaft, one for the base) or a tie-dye swirl throughout the toy. If you’re not super creative (i.e.: me) or would rather have it as realistic as possible, you can choose to have “natural markings” – which makes your toy as it would appear in the wild or mythology. This particular toy as pictured has the natural markings.

Firmness

You can also choose your firmness, to fit your body’s preferences. My firmness for my Elephant Trunk was medium – which was plushy, pliable, and perfectly comfortable while still giving a pleasurable textured feel. It’s also the most popular. The soft firmness has much more give, but may be too soft to feel the fine textures. The hard texture is supposedly much rougher, with very little give, a lot of texture, and recommended for advanced toy enthusiasts. You can also get a dual-firmness, with the head or shaft softer for easy insertion, and the rest firmer for easy thrusting. They also have a cored option for this model, which is soft silicone exterior over an extra hard inner core. It’s a great balance for someone who wants a firm toy, but is afraid that the texture might be overwhelming, as it gives you a hard inner texture and a soft outer texture.

You also get to choose the size – small, medium, and large. If you’re a size queen, you may have just met your match. I’m glad that Exotic-Erotics sent me their new “small” version.
