I love toy cleaners. While it’s true that antibacterial soap and warm water is the best toy cleaner, sometimes, in the heat of the moment, the last thing you want to do is run to the sink to give your toy a bath. That’s when a toy cleaner comes in handy. It’s important to get a toy cleaner with ingredients that can be trusted, and for this I really like Mighty Tidy Antibacterial Adult Toy Cleaner by Jelique.

A quick Google search of the chemical ingredients I didn’t know about made me feel safe using this product. There’s a gap in the literature regarding Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, and also, I am never typing out that phrase again. (Phew!) However, it seems to include coconut, and I can get behind a natural ingredient. Disodium EDTA is used to create a foaming effect in cosmetics. Finally, I feel comfortable using alcohol for sterilization, though I know over time it can break some materials down. this is why I like toy cleaners for quick use and not fully bathing my toys.
The packaging promises “antibacterial & soap-free cleanliness for adult toys”. It says “antibacterial tested & proven formula effective in reducing 99% of 3 major micro-organisms… staphylococcus auerus… pseudomonaa serguinosa… escherichia coli”. It also assures that the product contains no harsh soaps, artificial colors, and is safe for use on all toys.
Use
Mighty Tidy Adult Toy Clearner comes in a spray-pump bottle. Simply press down on the pump to mist on toys before and after use. Then, you can rinse the toy with water if desired and wipe dry. I use this toy cleaner in the moment. Say I’ve just pulled a toy out of my drawer and am not sure of the last time I used it. I give it a quick wipe down before play time. On the other hand, maybe I’m too exhausted after playing with a toy to head to the sink and fully clean it. Instead, I give it a wipe down with this toy cleaner in the mean time.
This product is lightly scented, with a clean fragrance aptly named “get fresh”. The packaging describes the fragrance as a light melon scent, and I’m reminded of a mild version of Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon circa 1998.
Overall
As far as toy cleaners go, this is a great product with ingredients I feel safe using. I recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use bedside toy cleaner.
