While you don’t need a separate lube for anal play, plenty of people will tell you that it certainly doesn’t hurt to invest in one – especially one that’s thick, silky, and long-lasting enough to keep you lubricated back there. Enter Intimate Earth’s Soothe Anal Glide, made with guava bark extract to give it a natural antibacterial boost. This water-based anal lube gets my Slutty Stamp of Approval, due to it being a very reliable lubricant as well as having no residue, stickiness, taste, or smell. And since it’s water based, it’s safe even with silicone toys!

A Well-Rounded Lube
Given that I’m closer to a beginner than an expert with anal play, I was a bit nervous to try this lube out for the first time. But once the lubrication was applied, it felt like a natural wetness; like just a small amount would easily allow a finger or two to glide in, like it was somehow self-lubricating. It felt entirely natural, as you would hope for! What I love about this lube is that it’s great for beginners, experts, and anyone in between. For a beginner, this lube would help with the process of preparing yourself for penetration by making it really easy for a finger, toy, or penis to enter. Not only does it make penetration less painful, but much more comfortable. My other anal experiences were with another lube, and the difference I noticed in my comfort level with this lube was astounding. It made every part of the process easy for me, from the nervousness of penetration all the way to the clean up. This is one well-rounded lube, and worked wonderfully, staying slick without leaving a residue, and cleaning up easily. My only real complaint is that like many good things, it doesn’t last long enough. It didn’t need a lot of reapplication, but it does eventually dry up, as is the case with water based lubes.

Overall
Intimate Earth has done a good thing with this anal lube: it’s easy to use and clean up with no smell or taste, plus it’s safe for toys, organic, antibacterial, and leaves nothing behind. I recommend it for anyone interested in anal play, experts and first-timers alike. Although it could last longer, you don’t need much with each reapplication to keep things wet. While it doesn’t provide any stimulation benefits like warming or tingling, it helped me to feel more comfortable by making anal play feel easier at every step. It worked wonders for its intended purpose.
