Double Penetration Dildo

When Tantus sent me a big box of toys, the one that intimidated me the most… more than the butt plug… more than the massive Tsunami or strap on… was the Flex. A big dildo and butt beads COMBINED into one glorious invention of a vibrating dildo. Although it was a top contender on my wish list, it was also one of the last toys I tried. After opening it’s box and holding this double penetration dildo in my hands, I thought that perhaps my eyes had been bigger than my vagina, and double penetration just wasn’t meant for me. Not only was this dildo huge (in my perception and compared to my other toys), but the anal beads seemed large and intimating, too. As a virgin to double penetration and anal toys, I just couldn’t commit to having something in my vagina and asshole at the same time… let alone as my first anal toy experience. But then, the Flex went where no toy in my toy box had gone before… and I’m not looking back for a second.

Tantus’s Incredible Silicone

You can’t talk about Tantus without talking about their amazing high-quality toys, made of even better materials. All of Tantus’s toys are made of a 100% medical-grade, ultra-premium silicone blend that is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, phthalate free, odorless, and tasteless… everything a girl could ask for when talking about double penetration. This particular silicone has a glossy texture, which gives it a nice glide after pairing it with some lube, and has very little drag once inserted. Whether you’re using it vaginally or anally, it holds lube like a champ and will glide against you without any uncomfortable friction. Even for this virgin ass, slipping the beads in was smooth and seamless, as if they belonged there the whole time. The smooth silicone means less discomfort (especially for anal n00bs) and less need for lube (although when talking about butt toys, the more lube – the better!). This particular silicone is even a bit bendable and flexible, so it can conform to your body comfortably – but the flexing anal arm isn’t so soft that you’re struggling to get it inside you like a wet spaghetti. Check out my review of Tantus’s Tsunami for more info on cleaning Tantus’s silicone toys (soap & water, bleach, boil, dishwasher) – and how it’s a total dust magnet (so store it wisely).

Daring Design

The big draw here about the Flex is it’s double penetration design. As an anal virgin and relatively an anal beginner (aside from a finger once or twice) the size and design of the Flex was initially a bit intimidating. The whole toy stands at 7.5 inches high, with about 5.5 inches of the dildo and anal beads being insertable. The shaft of the dildo is 1.5 inches across and 5 inches around at its largest part (the head), and only slightly smaller along the rest of the shaft (4.5 inches around). When compared to a penis, the insertable portion is about a normal size… although it does look pretty large as a whole toy. The anal probe is just larger than my thumb, measuring .75 inches across and 2.75 inches around – 4.75 of which is insertable.

Super flexible arm.

Vibration & Power

Like the Tsunami, the Flex would be better described as a vibrating dildo. But, Tantus is best known for making incredible, textured, high-quality silicone dildos – not vibrators… and as a vibrator, neither the Tsunami nor the Flex really hold up. At the base, the Flex has a small hole which perfectly fits the one-speed bullet it comes with. The bullet is nice with a moderate vibration, but when it’s inserted into the dildo, the vibration becomes barely perceptible and lost along the shaft of the toy. Even so, the option to have a vibration is nice – and if the bullet isn’t enough for you, you can always replace it with a strong one of your own.

The Experience

When it finally came time to review the Flex, my fantasies and strong-headedness to overcome any dildo screamed “YES!”, but my vagina and ass quivered in fear, silently screaming “no… No… NO!!!” My imagined experience of the pain this toy might cause overcame my strong will to conquer. But, alas, the day came… and I poured myself a large glass of wine, laid down a towel, grabbed my favorite bullet, and put on some kinky porn. Even if it took an hour… I was determined to fit this thing inside me and experience the pleasure of DP. Surprisingly, it took very little effort at all, with virtually no discomfort, let alone pain… and beyond that, the experience was worth every penny. I am now forever a fan of DP and double penetration toys.

The first step to DP is the warm up. This is the kind of toy that will motivate you to turn a quick solo session into an all day event. Get ready with some of your favorite porn (or fantasies if you prefer) and have a bottle of lube ready on your night stand (you’re gonna need it for the anal probe). For me, I started with finding the right position. You can’t just lay back and go at it with an anal toy. You have to position yourself perfectly. For me, this was laying slightly on my side with one leg in the air, slightly bent and resting over the edge of my couch. I looked like a perverted Rose from Titanic, or something out of a cheesy 70s porno, but I digress… this was hands down the easiest position for my DP experience, so I just had to roll with it. If you’re using it with a partner, it would likely be a lot easier to find the right position.

Next, the Flex is a toy I really had to take some time to ease into myself. The anal probe portion is really flexible, so I moved it to the side to use just the dildo portion. The head was pronounced enough to give me some good stimulation without getting caught on my pubic bone – perfect! The dildo doesn’t have any texture for extra stimulation, so it’s a pretty boring dildo by itself… but it’s not meant to be a mind blowing dildo. The toy as a whole is meant to give the experience of double penetration… and it does that perfectly.

The next step was easing in the anal beads. As an anal beginner, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this anal probe was much easier to take than I anticipated. With just enough lube, and keeping my fingers by my ass to guide everything into alignment, it was easy to pop the first anal bead inside of me. With the right alignment and pressure, it was virtually effortless (and especially painless). Some reviewers have complained that the arm was too flexible and kept sliding around, but I was able to guide each bead in one at a time simply by keeping my fingers on there entrance to keep everything aligned.

I found that the anal portion of the Flex was really perfect for me. The texture of the probe wasn’t so big that it was uncomfortable, but it did have a pleasurable “fullness” feeling. Each of the beads had enough gap in between them to give an incredible “popping” sensation – the thrill of pleasure that anal toys and meant to provide. This gentle stimulation was perfect for some light thrusting (though I’m not yet brave enough or anal-abled enough to go full speed), and for pleasure on both sides of that orgasmic vaginal / anal wall.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Easy for anal beginners
  • Incredible, unique design
  • Very high quality materials
  • Easy to clean

Cons

  • Intimidating at first, but easy to overcome
  • Girth may be too much for some

Overall

As a beginner to anal toys, I can whole heartedly say that this toy would be perfect for beginners interested in anal play or double penetration. Despite it’s seemingly large frame, it’s a perfect fit for me… and I suspect that anyone with a similarly adventurous attitude will soon find this toy in the ranks of their favorites, even if it means overcoming a bit of initial fear.

Thank you, Tantus, for letting me review this incredible toy!
