The G-Spot Lollipop is an award-nominated sex toy created to help you find and stimulate your G-spot. It comes in three varieties: the Double Pop, the J-Pop, and the smaller Travel Pop. I had the opportunity to review the J-Pop, which was designed with solo use in mind. Its curved shape allows for easier use without a partner as compared to the original, straight design.

Note: This product is no longer available, but the G-Spot Lollipop Double Pop is.

Daunting Size

This toy comes in two sizes: small and medium, and I reviewed the larger of two. My first thought upon receiving this toy was, “Oh. My. God. This is big.” The J-Pop is at least twice as large as I was expecting it to be, and I was definitely a little intimidated by it. The smaller ball has a 1.75 inch diameter, while the larger ball has a 2 inch diameter. I’d likely go back and get the smaller size next time!

Here’s a photo of the J-Pop with a standard sized condom, to give you an idea of just how sizeable it really is:

As you can see, this Lollipop comes packaged like a real lollipop, which I found charming and hilarious.

Long-Lasting Materials

The colored ball ends of the J-Pop are made from acrylic, which is lightweight but durable. Because of the nature of acrylic though, this toy is not recommended for temperature play; it is not safe to either heat or freeze this toy. The rod connecting the two balls is made of surgical-grade stainless steel. It looks more industrial than a sex toy, but it’s body safe, durable, and easy to clean, which is what really matters.

G-Spot Lollipops offers a one-year warranty for their products. If your Lollipop isn’t as it should be, you can have it replaced free of charge.

Awkward Insertion

This toy is somewhat difficult to insert, as it is a large, round, ball shape that is not tapered in any way. This surprised me, as the actual girth of the ball is comparable to that of other sex toys or of penises. G-Spot Lollipops’ website recommends using a liberal amount of lube and “rolling” the ball into yourself rather simply pushing it in. I’m not entirely sure how one would “roll” the toy in, since it is attached to a metal bar and another ball, but I do agree with the suggestion of lube.

My first attempt to use the J-Pop was actually kind of painful for me. I decided to try the larger end first, which may have been a mistake. The initial insertion was extremely uncomfortable: when the widest point of circumference on the ball entered my vagina, it hurt. It wasn’t an excruciating pain, but it certainly was unpleasant. However, once the toy was in, it was completely fine and no longer uncomfortable in any way, the metal connecting rod is thin and easily fits without any discomfort. Removing the toy proved to be just as hard as inserting it was because, once again, the widest point of the toy caused me acute unease.

Later on, I tried using the J-Pop again, this time with the smaller end. I’d like to say that the whole process went a lot smoother, but unfortunately, it was a similar experience. Though it was no longer actually painful, it was still quite uncomfortable. The shape of this toy just doesn’t offer an easy way to insert it, at least not for my anatomy. Other ladies, especially those who feel more comfortable with larger toys, may feel differently.

Pleasure Potential

Once I was ready to start actually using the J-Pop, I fared slightly better. The larger end was too large to really move around or do anything with. I had absolutely no difficulty applying pressure to my G-Spot with the ball end, but I wasn’t able to thrust it, rock it back and forth, or move it in any way to actually cause any stimulation. However, for someone who hasn’t had success with locating their G-Spot, this toy could be beneficial, as you would likely be able to easily become familiar with where in your anatomy it is located.

Using the smaller ball end, I was able to finally manipulate the toy in a pleasurable fashion, though not pleasurable enough to cause an orgasm. The G-Spot Lollipops website states that you can try using their toys in conjunction with a vibrator: applying pressure and stimulation to the G-spot from the inside and applying stimulation to the clit from the outside. I didn’t try this, but I have no doubts it would improve the overall experience for some women. The manufacturers also note that the sensation is great running a vibrator on the metal bar (to send vibrations throughout the toy) or on your clit with the thrusting of the pop, to intensify your orgasm and even a squirting g-spot orgasm.

Pros & Cons

  • Durable materials
  • Fun packaging
  • Easy to find the G-spot with
  • Small end stimulates G-spot well

  • Tricky to insert
  • Slightly too large, especially on the larger end
  • Large end offers no “wiggle room”

There was nothing fundamentally wrong with this toy, but it just didn’t quite do it for me. Most of its downfalls were related to its size, so it could be better suited to someone who finds other G-spot toys too small to be useful, or has difficulty locating their G-spot in the first place. Because this toy comes in two sizes, and I reviewed the medium, I suspect that the small size would be a wiser investment. If you’re looking for a toy that applies a lot of pressure to your G-spot though, the J-Pop could be exactly what you’re looking for!
