This silky gel lubricant comes in a chic little 3oz bottle with a silver, black and white label. It’s visually pleasing and the clear bottle allows me to see that the clear liquid inside is moving slowly, a sure sign that when fumbling around for it in the dark you’re not going to make an epic mess. I was optimistic going into my first use of Slippery Stuff’s Silicone Lube, but overall it leaves me feeling conflicted. It has a bit of a strange taste, but it’s body-safe and long-lasting, so the pros outweigh the cons, although it wouldn’t be my first choice (especially for oral).

Silky & Long Lasting
This glycerine-free gel lubricant stays right where you put it and it glides over skin like silk, leaving a smooth sheen that feels almost soft. It’s not goopy or sticky and it lasts longer than most any other lubricant I’ve come across. It’s not water-based, like a lot of other products. So, that means it is less sticky and more long-lasting, but also that it’s harder to wash off, and can stain sheets and clothes. It’s also not compatible with silicone toys.
While the product first glides on silky smooth over time, it did become a little sticky and depending on how much you’ve used and for what purpose. Also, you and your partner will definitely need to wash up a bit afterwards. It tends to last and last, which means it can be tough to wash off. Lucky for you, that also means Slippery Stuff Silicone Lubricant is very effective in the shower! I think I might actually store this one in the bathroom, and leave it where it can be most productive and washed off immediately.
Strange Taste
It boasts being odorless and tasteless — but I don’t find this to be exactly true. While Slippery Stuff’s Silicone Lubricant performs better than anything else I’ve used, I found the taste to be very off-putting. It’s doesn’t exactly taste like anything, but I was acutely aware I had a mouthful of chemicals, and I couldn’t wait to rush to the bathroom and brush my teeth.

Overall
This is a well made product that I would recommend due to performance only, but it’s not the whole package. It’s got a bit of a strange taste, and leaves behind a silky residue that can eventually get sticky if you don’t clean it off quickly. But, on the bright side, it’s incredibly long lasting, body safe, and an overall good all-purpose lube (except for with silicone toys). If you’re looking for a quality silicone-based lube that’s sure to do the trick (as long as you’re not planning on oral that night), this is a winner.
