It would be best for someone who has difficulty orgasming, and wants some extra clitoral sensation to help bring them over the edge – rather than someone looking to strengthen an existing orgasm. And although I love how dedicated this brand is to using ingredients that are better for our bodies and the environment, I did find that some of the ingredients (namely Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin) are possibly harmful.

How To Use It

When it comes to this gel, less is better. The small dollop that came out with half a squeeze of the pump was just enough to get the tingling, arousing sensation going. I would definitely not recommend using much more than that at a time, as the feeling can quickly turn into an uncomfortable, burning sensation. Using one finger, I easily glided and massaged the gel directly onto my clit. Immediately after applying, I started to feel a cold, minty tingling sensation. This sensation is perfect for heightening pleasure during clitoral stimulation. Just a note, this product is intended for external use on the clitoral area, and shouldn’t be mistaken for a lubricant.­ I can only imagine how unpleasant it might be if used internally. It’s water­based, giving it more options for play as it can be used with silicone toys.

The Experience

I tried Intense both with a vibrator and during vaginal intercourse. While it didn’t take much to experience the tingling sensation after application, the feeling wore off rather quickly. I would have preferred if it were more long lasting, so you wouldn’t need to re-apply. The gel worked well when used with a vibrator that focused on my clit. The unique blend of organic extracts believed to increase blood flow and sensitivity to the applied area (in this case, my clit) did have an extra-sensitive effect. So the constant vibrations against my clitoris felt more pleasurable. If you typically have trouble reaching orgasm, the extra sensation that the stimulating gel provides will help to bring you over the edge – but it isn’t meant to actually intensity your orgasm. Aside from the tingling, there was virtually no added stimulation during sex, which probably has to do with the combination of how fast the tingle wore off and the absence of direct clitoral stimulation. I suspect that other positions that are more clit-centric would be better with this stimulating gel.
