The future of Planned Parenthood in America is uncertain these days. With the current administration being less than supportive of women’s reproductive rights, and of people’s health in general, it’s difficult to predict what may happen next. If you’re wondering how you can support Planned Parenthood, look no further, we’ve got seven ways you can lend a hand.

1. Donate Money

The simplest way to help out a cause you care about is often to donate money. If you’ve got the cash to spare, why not share some with Planned Parenthood? Planned Parenthood is a non-profit, which means they rely heavily on donations, something that will become increasingly more important if Republicans follow through on their proposed funding cuts. Not to mention – government funding is never used for abortion services, so they’re always in need of monies to support a woman’s right to choose.

Donate to Planned Parenthood HERE or donate to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund HERE. As little as $5 makes a difference, so skip out the Starbs today and feel good about yourself instead.

2. Encourage Friends to Donate

So, now that you’ve donated, ask all your friends to join you! Try challenging your friends and family to meet or exceed your donation amount, everybody likes a friendly competition. Feeling a little more laid back? Share a post on social media urging friends to donate. You could share this list (wink wink, nudge nudge), or tell a true story of a time Planned Parenthood helped you or someone you care about and tug on people’s heartstrings. Whatever you post, get the word out!

3. Volunteer

If you’ve have a little bit of free time, perhaps you’d prefer to help in a more hands-on manner. Check out Planned Parenthood’s website HERE to see what opportunities are available, or visit your local branch and ask them what openings they have that could benefit from your skills and expertise. Many locations even have volunteer positions only require a once a month commitment!

3. Call Your Senator

Ring those phones! Planned Parenthood has all the info you’ll need to call your Senator and voice your opinion. Phone shy? They’ve even prepared a script that you can read if you’re not sure what to say. CLICK HERE for more info.

5. Sign Up for Their Newsletter

6. Attend an Event

They’ve got activist nights, signature gatherings, rallies, art parties, phone banks, sex trivia, flash mobs, town halls, and more. Check out their website for an event in your neighbourhood.
